Tempted by P.C & K. Cast

So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions. Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal. Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul?

This took me a couple minutes to get into, but afterwards, and everything that happened in the other books came back to me, I started to love this book. At first, I wasn't too happy about reading in Stevie Rae's point of view, but while the story began to grow and evolve, I wanted to know what was going on with her and what she was thinking all the time. Zoey was still full of surprises and she got me annoyed sometimes, but it was perfect because it made her seem human, and when we bring emotion into reading, we get more engulfed in the whole thing.

Zoey is still juggling four boys, but no matter what, I am routing for Stark. He seems to care about Zoey and want to protect her more than anyone or anything. Heath only cares about dating the High Priestess now and is really starting to annoy me, and Erik is obsessed with power it seems. When it comes to Kalona, he seems irresistable, but also a big creep. Once we learn more about him, you feel like he can change, and that there is still good in him, but is it true?

The ending to this book just made it perfect, starving for more. It is shocking and very surprising. It was perfect, and I can't wait for the next installement. Burned.
Plus, I love the cover to this book. It's one of my favorites from this series. x.
